Liesl started dancing at the age of 3, and continued to pursue her passion of dancing when she moved to Australia at the age of 8 where she focused on ballet, jazz and character syllabus completing
numerous Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) exams at The National Theatre Ballet School.
Liesl was also part of the Johnny Young Talent School and performed in numerous productions and stage shows.
Having completed a Bachelor of Commerce and working in Human Resources for over 20 years Liesl took over as owner of Performance Academy of Dancing in 2018 keeping the well known philosophies of the a fun and friendly school established by the previous owners and great friends Juliann Smith and Laura Bailey.

Miss Maya has been a student at Performance Academy Of Dancing since age 4. Maya studied Full Time at Kelly Aykers School of Dance where she graduated in Dance Teaching management as well as Musical Theatre.

Miss Liz began dancing with Performance Academy Of Dancing when she was 4yrs old. She has studied Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Cntemporary, Lyrical, Commercial & Hip Hop dance styles as well sat formal SDA Examinations. Miss Liz is an Alumni member of the full time Patrick Studios Australia (PSA) course and has been working in the industry ever since.
Miss Liz has been fortunate enough to have travelled across Australia and internationally as a professional dancer
Juliann P Smith

Juliann Established Performance Academy of Dancing in 1991 in Moorabbin and has grown the studio into the friendly & well known school that it is today.
Her career in Dance has included working as a Channel 9 Dancer for many years, performing professionally in many stage and theatre productions all leading to her teaching career of over 35 years both in Australia & Internationally.
Juliann has been a full time teacher/guest teacher at a number of different studios in Australia & around the world including Victoria, Queensland, England, Scotland and many more. She has also worked as a VCE Dance State reviewer and trainer.

Miss Juliette was a student with Performance Academy of Dancing for over 10 years, as well as a student teacher for 4 years. She is currently teaching having completed her Certificate 4 Teaching and Management in Dance. Juliette has performed in concerts and competitions across Australia and has been actively involved in dancing at both St Leonards College and Star of the Sea. She is currently completing her degree in business.
Miss Juliette’s classes consist of flexibility, strength, and conditioning, as well as fun elements to ensure the dancers are enjoying themselves whilst broadening their technique.
Hip Hop/Funk Teacher
Katia is energetic, enthusiastic and her students LOVE both her and her classes which is the reason her classes are often at full capacity.
Originally from Russia, Katia’s has an extensive dance training background and long list of professional performance experiences.
Her classes focus on fun and fitness while challenging students to continue to develop their technique and own personal style.
We are very lucky to have Katia with us and invite you to come down and see how good her classes really are!

Laura has been dancing since age 2 in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, National, Song & Dance, Character, Neo Classical and Contemporary styles.
She has danced competitivly since the age of 4 and has been awarded multiple perpetual and overall aggregate trophies.
Over the years Laura has studied the Cecchetti Ballet Syllabus, R.A.D and SDA Ballet, Jazz & Tap Syllabus.
She has performed in numerous Musical Theatre stage productions and has been taught by many renowned teachers including Tabitha & Napolean & Mandy Moore (both Choreographers on 'So You Think You Can Dance USA').
Laura also works with local Primary Schools to coordinate their School Concerts Productions.
